Vive Colombia, Viaja por Ella.

I want to share the beauty that is Colombia through different videos and perhaps personal experiences.

I will start with food, we are certainly food centered so this is the best place to start.

Anthony Bourdain, need I say more? The videos are split in 3 parts, hope some of you enjoy them.

Thank you for sharing part of your world...what a wonderful thread idea UofM!

PS Anthony really showed the heart of the people in that episode, I've watched it twice, and enjoyed it thoroughly each time!

Thank you Ms. Pure and Innocent, for stopping by and checking out my end of the world.

And yes, I do think he, Anthony, did a great job of showing that and our diversity,

Senior Socks, you country has always been of interest to me, the history alone is fascinating, pre-Columbian to be sure, post modern as well.

Thank you! It is a country of contrasts, for sure. You and your wife should pay a visit :)

I also want to acknowledge the many rep comments and PMs from those who have enjoyed my country.

I haven't been to the Amazons, but I have heard some wonderful things about it. I had plans to go years back but my father passed and things got put on hold.

Hopefully you will find out soon and you can tell us all bout it
:)

It was the African jungle that helped me get my life back on track after my daughter and Grandparents passed.

I have always dreamed of going to Machu Picchu when I’m 50, why then, I don’t know, but….. Spending some time exploring the Amazons then would be fantastic! ...I have 8 years to go before I get there...lol!

I have heard it's quite a hike out to Caño Cristales, but it would be so worth the walk!

Medellin

Laguna Guatavita
and Usaquén, again, because really, you can't go too many times!

I like their tag line in these videos "The only risk is wanting to stay." I have found that to be very accurate.

My son gave me the heads up on this episode of house Hunters International yesterday (yes he watches it).

I am re-thinking my career path. I swear they could have done A LOT better with that budget. Perhaps real state agent may be another item to add to my resume.

Yeah, I saw this one too. I think they really limited themselves by only looking in La Macarena. I really liked the La Candelaria one, impractical as it was!
