I think it's going to be a sushi night :sushi:
It's been over a month since we've had it!

Gemme 01-04-2013 09:29 PM

It's rainy and dreary and chilly, so it's a chili night.

TheMerryFairy 01-04-2013 09:50 PM

I ordered Chinese take out for two: 4 veggie spring rolls, General Tso's chicken which comes with an order of steamed rice, honey garlic spare ribs, chicken chow mein and pineapple chicken. Fortune cookies, plum and sweet and sour sauces are all on the side.

...

Lentil soup (the best I have ever eaten) and a large spinach/romaine lettuce salad with just a hint of asiago cheese and garlic dressing.

= good and satisfying.

I had orange chicken and steamed rice this evening, but I had 2 helpings because it was so good and that was wayyyyy too much - not just because I am full but also because of the calories I took in by eating that much! :(

Next time, get the bowl, Parker, just the bowl! :|

Tonight I am making
Broiled rainbow trout (the gay fish) with brown butter sauce
Roasted butternut squash with caramelized onions
Tart lemon ice with coconut flour raspberry cookies

Tonight I am grilling Chipotle chicken, steaming up some brown rice and broccoli, with a side of cucumber/onion salad.

WolfyOne 01-05-2013 05:16 PM

Baked chicken, stuffing and corn

TheMerryFairy 01-05-2013 05:20 PM

I want something adventurous. If I had more time I would have loved to do a salmon dinner with all of the trimmings.
Tomorrow we will barbeque, or grill rather, enough meat for a few meals this week to cut down on cooking time. We can then each do as we please with the protein. Mine will involve noodles, lots of veggies, salad and maybe a rice dish.

deb_U_taunt 01-05-2013 05:26 PM

red beans and rice

puddin' 01-05-2013 05:40 PM

we had "snacky dinner" eaten while playing a board game.
Consisted of a chopped up pineapple, pummello, hummus, guac, blue corn chips, rice crackers, and a little mozzarella cheese for the kiddo.

Note: There were no Brussels Sprouts. First time in a long time they were not on my table. Yes, I did miss them and will probably OD on them tomorrow.
