Yes, reading over my shoulder unless I have invited you to check something out.
And PLEASE don't hover!!!!!
I need my 3 foot radius thankyouverymuch!

Lateness is a biggie for me too.
Don't disrespect me like that.
I am NEVER one to keep people waiting.
I am never fashionably late for anything.
I plan my time carefully to be where I said I would be at a specific time.
I will leave the house without you.

3 foot radius, i think that is fair! i love my personal space and unless someone is invited into it, or your name is Syr, stay away!

The hovering does drive me nuts... especially when eating or on the computer!

ketchup bottle farts!

The majority of these are my pet peeves, :| yet, I’ve had two long term relationships…..not really been single much in my adult life…..So, I can’t be that hard to live with (despite so many pet peeves) and I doubt it’s because I’m fairly laid back as a person; pet peeves really twist my melon!

mine too, so how do we know if it's US or THEM with the problem? :seeingstars:?

Real life music and movies alphabetized.

Files on my pc...especially for school segregated alphabetically by class, then sub-folders for each week of the semester and a separate sub-folder for each major paper.

I do not like when people go nosing through my stuff without permission. Organization, as I said before, is a major part of my life.

Constant burping.

girl_dee 02-26-2012 05:29 PM

hanging bra straps!

Dirty or drippy spoons on the counter. If you stirred your coffee, rinse it and put it in the sink. If you're cooking, I have spoon rests for a reason. Don't just lay it on the counter.

girl_dee 02-26-2012 06:10 PM

leaving the sugar dispenser empty, annoying!

Mr Nice Guy 02-26-2012 06:22 PM

The constant talking to the tv while I'm trying to watch it. The tv can't hear you.

I read the thread and tried to think of some pet peeves...

I realized that I couldn't live with 98% of y'all cuz life is too short to worry bout butter in my jelly lol I spoon it out and get to the unbuttered stuff.

I guess my number one pet peeve would be someone trying to turn me into them.....

I put things away, I pick up things, I cook, etc......If I'm not doing it the way someone likes......they are more than welcome to do it - and forever :)

The roomie and I have already crossed this bridge - I'm not her, she's not me and I'm a functioning adult and able to continue to do so without directions lol

She's rather ocd about the cupboards and I respect that and put things back the way she arranges - but if I forget cuz I'm tired after work and she's had all day to rearrange something I misplaced cuz she doesn't, then I guess I would peeve about her leaving it as is to show and *correct* me.

I don't need correction because I don't do something someone else's way. My daughter had her own butter to avoid the Kidlette and I getting crumbs in it. It was about compromise and that works for me rather than my letting things like that upset my life.

Speaking from my *me* space.......

nah not dealbreakers, just pet peeves, small and large

i kinda feel the crumbs in the butter is just more than "crumbs in the butter".

kinda feels like it's just a tad disrespectful of the others who share the "butter." i am working on not taking things like this personal myself :)

i am home most days and do most of the housework and sure i have time to take out crumbs but that's kinda not the point on the receiving end.

but YES, life is so much bigger than crumbs in the butter. :)

puddin' 02-26-2012 08:13 PM

ooh, seems it got a tad larger hea den originally intended. but s'far as pet peeves go, i have only one major one... don't EVA leave me wit'out half & half fo' me coffee! full stop... beyond dat, we can work it out. lol

And I totally respect your reasoning - which is why we chose to have two sets of butter dishes - cuz the 10 year old just didn't think about it as much as her Mom did and out of respect we thought it better to just let her have her own butter so that she would feel good about her needs being met.
