Cube Steak for Syr cooked the way she likes em... Fried Steamed broccoli, yellow and green beans right out of the garden Jasmine Brown rice a small stir fry with my favorite, CROOKNECK squash that Syr grew just for me, with garlin and our own snow peas! DELISH! |
The bear is bringing me popeyes. And we have watermelon

i made Her mussels in a white wine, garlic sauce with focaccia bread for dipping and a green salad tossed in a lemon vinaigrette.

I had tacos...again. Though they were delicious, I really wanted to go out to dinner tonight, but it was too damn hot out and I didn't feel like going out in it again once I made it home. Ugh.

Too hot to eat anything cooked tonight so I had a tomato sandwich with Dukes mayobecause it is the ONLY mayo of course. Then I had a handful of unsalted roasted peanuts. YUM!

Day off cooking
I am off today and I have the luxury of cooking, I am just about to go the the grocery store and the wine shop. This meal is low carb and gluten free
-Stuffed prosciutto wrapped chicken breast, stuffed with brie, apple, pine nuts, and a little bit of sweet onion -Zucchini ribbon "pasta" tossed with a little really good EVO, red pepper, shallot, garlic, goat cheese crumbles, and basil from my garden -Cannoli parfait with espresso The wine, probably a dry white Burgundy |
fried chicken, collard greens, mujadra (lentils with rice and onions), and pita bread with cucumber mint sauce.

8-ounce char-grilled steak prepared cacciatore style with fresh roasted pepper, mushroom sauce, and shaved asiago cheese served with fresh vegetables. |
made some rotini with a ragu cheese sauce and diced tomatoes and green peppers.

Filet mignon (we're big fans :) ), julienned carrots lightly steamed, and fried potatoes with a bit of onion.....yummy! :chef2:

All day simmer...
Homemade eggplant lasagna, which slowly cooked in the oven as I was roasting tomatoes all day, with a glass of Merlot.
