Early evening heading to the airport to pick up people I love and then heading to the mountains for three days of wedding bliss for a dear friend getting married. Tonight- we pre-party. Wedding tomorrow then huge hotel party and hiking in the mountains. We're talking about everyone abandoning our hotel rooms and building a giant fort in the hotel lobby and everyone snuggling up for a slumber party love fest. We need it. The entire hotel is our party and we do this a few times a year for different gatherings. They let us do pretty much whatever we want when we book the place.

Tonight: Book club followed by lesbian folk music night at my local little coffee house. Hoping it's not too crowded. Last time it was.
Tomorrow, morning coffee date with a friend I haven't seen in far too long. Then a well paced day of getting things done that I'm looking forward to getting done. Sunday, friends coming for dinner and a crafting party. Monday is a third job interview for the same job. I'm looking forward to wrapping that process up one way or another. |

I am looking forward to learning how to sew. My birthday is in January and I am going to gift myself with a portable beginner sewing machine. Ihave put it off long enough. My goal? I want to make myself medieval garb to wear to SCA events. And to make some horse garments for my beast.:jester:

I am looking forward to 2 weeks off work for the holidays (one of the best benefits of working in academia, IMO). Not only will I not be at work, but no one else will be at work either, thinking of things for me to do.

My new boss called me tonight...I don't even remember why...but ended up telling me she's been excited all day and is so grateful that I'm going to be working for her. Apparently she's really been in dire need of reliable help. I feel such an amazing connection with this woman already and we haven't even met! Apparently the feeling is mutual... I feel like I'm walking into a big ol love fest...if its half as good as it feels like it'll be I will be a truly happy girl... |

The end of this trial! The guy who hit me, causing a bad accident, is fighting his citations. The last court date was continued bc the trooper couldnt be there (the 1st witness was allowed to testify). Today it was continued bc the original judge was out sick & the new judge didnt want to start over. So we all come back next month & I am set to testify first. I cant wait for the whole thing to be over! |
