Lady Godiva Chocolate Martini
This wonderful chocolate martini is well worth the investment in the fine ingredients. What a wondefully sinful way to excite a martini glass!

Ingredients

•2 ounces of Godiva Dark Chocolate liqueur
•2 ounces of Creme de Cacao
•1 ounce of half-and-half
•2 ounces of freezing Goldenbarr Chocolate vodka
•1 tablespoon of shaved white chocolate
•2 well chilled, classy looking martini glasses
The mix

•Combine the Godiva Chocolate liqueur, Creme de Cacao, and Goldenbarr Chocolate vodka into a cocktail shaker half full of cracked ice.
•Shake for one full minute.
•Add the half-and-half to the shaker and gently swirl (circular motion).
•Strain your fine chocolate creation into your martini glasses.
•Top each martini with shaved chocolate.
•You'll be in chocolate heaven.
•Although I didn't specify it in the recipe, the presence of a beautiful gal with flowing blonde hair on a white stallion will only serve to make this martini recipe even better!

WHAT??? I can have CHOCOLATE FOR BREAKFAST?!? :D

Chocolate Pancakes (or waffles!)

1 c unbleached all-purpose flour
3/4 c cocoa powder
2 tsp baking powder
2 Tbsp sugar
3 large eggs
3 Tbsp melted butter (or canola oil)
1 1/2 c milk (I'm so gonna try adding :chocolate: Silk!!!)
pinch of salt

confectioner's sugar (optional topping)
1 pt fresh strawberries, hulled & sliced (optional, but OH SO decadent!)

Sift into a med. bowl: flour, cocoa, baking powder
Mix in sugar

In another bowl, whisk until well combined: eggs, butter (oil), milk & salt

Add wet ingredients to dry mixture until blended (slightly lumpy, cake batter consistency)

Heat a non-stick pan over med-high heat.
Ladle a scant cup of bater for each pancake into pan.
Cook until bubbles form on surface & edges darken (about 2 min.)
Turn & cook another 2 min.
Repeat until all batter is used.
*Keep cooked pancakes warm in a 200 degree F oven until ready to serve.

These were SO YUMMY with strawberry slices & chocolate syrup!

My town is known as "Canada's Chocolate Town", and if you love chocolate, well do we have a treat for you! One week of chocolate-themed activities! We're the home of an old family business. Yup! A chocolate factory. And ya can't get any sweeter than that! :chocolate:

Yeah, I know. :floatbee:s are supposed to like honey. So I've branched out a little! :)

2myladyblue 06-23-2010 05:35 PM

I wish every day started with chocolate....

Chocolate Banana French Toast

Spread *Nutella* on 2 slices of bread (both sides!)
Thinly slice banana (& put in the middle of your :chocolate: sandwich!)

Mix a little chocolate milk into a couple eggs.
Dip your sandwich into the egg/milk mixture.

Fry your toast on both sides & drizzle in chocolate syrup & top with whipped cream & a cherry!!!
(Ahem! 'Scuse me....I think I need a moment...)

With that in mind, if your gonna take a trip to the Maritimes to go investigate a chocolate city you had better be taking Me along with you :D
