I'm off and I LOVE days off during the week. I can hike wherever I please and not contend with the crowds...

I'm thinking Craggy Pinnacle may finally be in bloom. We shall see :)

Next weekend. It's the start of a 2 week shut down at work. And my dad is coming up for the weekend. We have concert tickets and are planning several rounds of golf.

Next weekend. In theory, I will have the ability to get out. I found a new bar that I want to explore. It's a holiday weekend though, so odds are the nurse will call in AND I'm on call so I can't drink.

I think I just talked myself out of next weekend.

Today....meeting some cool people for late lunch/early dinner!!!!

Next weekend.......we have a private cottage right on the water.....complete with fishing dock/tiki bar/hammock/fish cleaning station/bonfire pit/ AND just us...with our little dachshund...and a private beach.....NO kids around this joint!!! Yay!

I am so excited PLUS there is a huge 4th July parade & fireworks Sunday.....we have never been to this area.

BEST part: Dolphins & manatee...within 3 feet of where we will be on the dock. I MISS seeing my dolphin every day!!!!!

Making my first batch of lotion on my own. Took a class yesterday and it's a lot easier than making soap. I have most of the tools (measuring cups, scale, immersion blender, oils, etc.) The batch we made yesterday was more oily than I like, but I should be able to come up something I like with some practice.

I am starting to think about the 4th of July weekend. I may man the grill for my mother or take her to lunch and shopping. My family will be all together again so I am very excited about that.
