Tonight will be meatloaf, I think. Even though we're out of lentils. I slip lentils into lots of stuff for healthier protein.

I have a large pork roast in the freezer that I will be thawing, slow cooking and sharing. Most likely with red potatoes, carrots, celery, onion rosemary, garlic, seared first in salt, pepper and lots of fresh pressed garlic..Bay leaf thrown in whilst simmering. Simmers in chicken broth. I may throw in some fresh mushrooms as well. Might make a little salad for pre-supper. Already have home made bread (oat/wheat/molasses bread- similar to Steak and Ale's bread but BETTER) to toast up w/butter..anyone hungry??

I have becme obsessed with SPAM..... Thass right, girls and bois.....SPAM Spam of c-rations fame.... Spam of every day fare in Hawaii fame..... I was at the grocery store and passed by those cute lil tins, and said to myself.... "self, you haven't had SPAM in ages"..... I have made SPAM sammiches, SPAM burritos, SPAM breakfast burritos, burnt SPAM......fried SPAM... Spam and scrambled eggs.....oy! So much SPAM...SPAM with bacon and SPAM with hickory smoke flavor.... I even put habanero peppers in crumbled up SPAM! I am thinking tonight will be SPAM cheeseburger type deals..... Someone save me, please........ :cigar2: |

Steamed asparagus Steamed cauliflower topped with bacon and cheese, fake baked potato, it was good actually. Water Later, blackberries and honey Greek yogurt. |
I'm making a "Cowgirl Quiche"...with prosciutto and Swiss.
And for dessert...a tres leches cake w/a sweet milk mixture poured over the top, and fresh whipping cream...served warm. |
