I grocery shopped today and did not feel up to cooking. So I had a sandwich-
Sliced chicken breast, with salad greens and white cheddar and a 100% whole wheat thin bagel, and water. I'll cook tomorrow...maybe. Oh and I had Greek yogurt with cocoa powder blended into it for dessert. Good stuff! |
A tall gin and tonic and a small plate of hors-d'oeuvre.

:blink: Ebon took me to a surprise restaurant. I knew we were going to one, but not which one. We wound up HERE. Ebon had the ribs and steak fries and I had the peppercorn crusted top sirloin and baked sweet potato and we both had beer bread and Caesar salads. The steak was so good, I could have eaten it all without any sauce whatsoever. For those that really know me, or at least my eating preferences, you KNOW that's some good stuff right there. We. Will. Return. :tease: |
The most velvety and luscious Onion soup with added extra fattening crispy onions and a toasted cheesy ciabatta...I can't tell you how scrumptious it was after being poorly and then a little very plain food yesterday

A well seasoned turkey burger, grilled eggplant sprinkled liberally with curry, and Gluten free organic brown rice cous cous. Garlic and olive oil flavored. Just as soon as someone gets in there and cooks it for me. :)

I brought home a prime rib, shrimp scampi combo meal from Outback Steakhouse tonight. I finally used a Christmas gift card. I went to Cleveland Clinic today and after hearing about my surgery and how it was going to alter me, I needed super comfort food.

I made jasmine rice and baked tilapia with olive oil, lemon juice, pepper, scallions and mushrooms. Ebon seems to like it. He just finished off another plate of it. :blink:

Generally ever friday night my friends and I go eat Mexican and have drinks. I have missed the last 3 due to being sick. I'm glad we can all get together tonight as well as my friends as they won't go without me.
So I will be having chicken and rice and either beer or margaritas :) |
Turkey kielbasa with onions, scallions, peppers and spices on top of jasmine rice. Juice for Ebon and Dr. Thunder for me.

Sliced heirloom tomatoes with just a sprinkle of fleur de sel and a dash of olive oil, followed by shrimp gyoza and sliced shitakii tossed in a soy, sesame oil, rice vinegar and chilli black bean sauce dressing, glass of Chardonnay. A bittersweet Armagnac truffle later for dessert.

Brisket sandwich (on wheat buns) with pickles and baked chips and an ice cold coca-cola...banana pudding for dessert....and it is delicious!

It's hot and I worked damn hard at work today, so the last thing I want is something hot.
A salad of romaine, feta, tomato, calamata olives, some canned red beans (I thought for sure I had some chickpeas, but alas, apparently not.), and Caesar vinaigrette. |
Drunken noodles, which I made a little too spicy, a Thai cucumber peanut salad, and a glass of red wine.
