In a little while, I will enjoy fresh steamed vegetables. I loaded up my double decker food steamer with carrots, squash, potatoes, cabbage, asparagus, 2 ears of corn, and broccolli.

I don't cook often and when I do, I make enough to last several days. Here's the great thing about the steamed fresh veggies. I can refrigerate them and then randomly take out what I need, sprinkle with salt, add some butter and nuke them. A very large glass of cold milk goes really swell with this meal.

... off to the kitchen to check on how much longer ... I am so hungry!

I ended up having cold steamed salmon, and a jicama and tomato salad with just sea salt, a squeeze of lime and a sprinkle of Nigerian cayenne. A handful of fresh figs for dessert, and a bottle of Evian. It was too hot for pasta!
