I was supposed to have a new mattress set delivered today, but it hasn't arrived at the store yet. Hopefully tomorrow. Until then... :beddybye:

It's really quiet tonight, for a change: I'm sitting outside on my patio deck, listening to the crickets chirping.... the neighbor across the street is welding .....and big ol jets flying above....and watching the clouds build up in the west, with what looks like the last of the sunset?

I'm looking forward to the rainfall, tomorrow.
And cooler temps.... :rrose:

And.... the weekend! :balloon:

I probably should have all kinds of emotional scars from King's books but I don't. I started reading them way before I should have. I read Cujo when I was 7 or 8 years old. I nipped it out of my father's book bag while we were on vacation. My mom thought I was just pretending to read it. His books are like comfort food for me.

My mom is coming here Friday to take care of me for a medical procedure and then it will be fun time over the weekend. We will go out to eat and maybe head out for some fun shopping in the village. Yay!

A long quiet weekend spent under a tree somewhere reading HRC's, "What Happened". It's been a really long and busy week and quite frankly, I'm freaking exhausted. I'm not one to wish away time, but five thirty cannot get here quick enough for me today. I should just occupy that tree all weekend.

Tomorrow is the 2017 Teal Power Ovarian Cancer walk. This will be the first time my mom and I have walked it. She's excited. I went to pick up our shirts yesterday. There was a lady with a teal stripe in her hair and I asked her about it. Hers was done my her hairdresser but she told me about this hair chalk Ulta Beauty sells. I was able to go there and buy some teal chalk. Mom has been wanting to do the stripe since we decided to do the walk so I was stoked to find the chalk for her.

I also read his books too young lol The Talisman was my first book at age 11 (I think) and I read IT at age 12 (in under a week!) I do still avoid sewer grates but only because I'm convinced at some point they will fall in and I don't want to chance being on it when it does. (Ok, that's the story I tell myself. ) but....i do not like clowns..but I'm not exactly certain when that began.
