I've played this place before. The cook is a lesbian as well as one of the waitresses. We kind of dance around each other. A sort of "I know she is, I think she knows I am, but I'm not sure" kind of thing. The waitress calls me sweetie. Which is my least favorite thing to be called. |

Cruisin' with my pals
On Friday nights a time warp hits my city. The streets of downtown are filled with strolling people of all ages, while a parade of pre-1970s vintage cars slowly cruise up and down Grand Avenue. All kinds of vintage cars—from American Hot Rods, Classics, Antiques, and Customs. There are also truckers, bikers, convertibles, etc. and a good time is usually had by all.

Next weekend is the end of my 30 days of juice fasting retreat and a celebration is planned with friends who I've been avoid during this lovely ordeal. Oh Happy Days! :cheer:

Starting my second year of grad work at a new school.

I joined a local hiking group and today I'm going on my first ever hike with them. I am anxious to learn some good hiking spots in the area.
Today our hike is a 6.5 mile trek along the river. The French Broad I assume. I am looking forward to meeting some nice local people with similar interests as mine. :) |
My birthday next weekend. Maybe I will take myself on a picnic.

As of then I am employed well over full time by my agency. They called today to tell me they had a client for me. ONE client. Full time. Awesomeness! It's 52 hours a week AND I have weekends off :) AND I get time and a half until the new laws go into affect :) The employment gods have finally smiled down on me... (f) |
I am looking forward to taekwondo practice tonight. My car broke down this morning and it caused me to miss work. I need a good work out to sweat the stress away!
