spending thanksgiving at my friend and her gf's house while they are away. just getting away from the house and not being alone on the holiday.. watching their dogs.. And just relaxing and reflecting on my many many blessings :)

Watching the sunset and then stargazing from the Richland Balsam Overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway. At 6053 ft, it's the highest elevation on the BRP.
This is one of my favourite places in the world - at night it is so quiet you can hear your own heartbeat. The air is absolutely delicious! So clean and filled with the scent of the surrounding balsams. I'm tempted to get up early on Saturday to watch the sunrise from there as well. |

Tomorrow :) I am so truly blessed. with great friends, here and in real time. A wonderful job. A great place to live, a nice car to drive. I tend to get caught up in the day to day rut of things and forget to count my blessings... But, I am truly thankful :)

I'm looking forward to having a 40 hr paycheck again one day. Don't know what year that will be but I still look forward to it.

Pumpkin pie of course, but 4 days off from work. I am resurfacing my wood floors . Something I've never done before, I'm excited to get started. I've read all the info I could find and asked advice from people I know who have done it before. I rented a buffer and my sanders are ready. Hope I can complete it in 4 days.

I'm looking forward to the snow on Saturday, taking the kids to find "just the right" tree, picking up the special White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle cupcakes from the cupcake lady, and getting the lights untangled from where I tossed them in a box last year :snowysmiley:

The visit I had from my granddaughter today,everytime she comes over her belly is a bit bigger and the days are geting closer one by one for my great granddaughter to be born.I am so looking forwards do the day I hold her for the first time.

Hearing back from a certain Federal Agency on a specific job application.... a secure job at 60-65K a year plus excellent benefits is something that would make my hard work and wait really worth it.... especially the benefits!! Really, it's not the money I'm after because I have aps out there at half what I used to make... I'm after the benefits.
