Ok, so I was hungry n decided to make me a hot dog. :badcook: I chopped up some Roma tomatoes n red onions n added ketchup...right? :chainsaw: :thinking: Mrs. Daywalker did not want a hot dog. Ketchup, chili and cheese! And, only if it is grilled and nearly burnt! I rarely eat them but I did have a kick ass braut the other night! Who knew?

OMG! I so want to try that! I was in Atlanta once for a conference and was right across from the Varsity. However - no one wanted to go over as it was "just a drive-in" - oh, how I wish I had gone! My hot-dog condiments vary - depending on when I eat the hot-dog. Summer bbq - ketchup, yellow mustard and corn relish. Sometimes chilli. At home - ketchup, yellow or sweet onion mustard, cheese. But if it is a grilled sausage - then saurekraut and yellow mustard. Question: which brand of hot dogs do you prefer? toasted roll? poppyseed or plain? |
I grew up, mostly, in Brooklyn, NY....and nothing beats a hot dog from the original Nathan's of Coney Island! When I get hot dogs, my favorite brand is still Nathan's. And I like my buns plain ;)

I like the skin on ones, from NY.
When I met my G/F who is from NY, I was amazed at her encyclopedic knowledge of hot dogs and sausages. I may have said "y'all are some sausage eating mother fuckers". :thumbsup: Either way, I am so spoiled now, I won't usually eat the TN hot dogs any more. |
