I had no idea the number of people I know who are close relatives of the seagull. :superfunny: :|

Until this morning, I had no idea that, moths don't have stomachs.

Most of the time, I have no idea that, I have no idea.

Cool thread, Oneida!

They are carrion (sp?) and will usually eat dead meat, but making a kill doesn't surprise me.

I blame the economy.

This could prove to be an interesting thread.

yay! a thread for crows :)

i was in the deepest, most amazing slumber until the phone sounded. the person telephoning had no qualms about getting me up at such an awful hour! then, once i 'came round' he fell asleep! on the phone. snoring even!

so, i thought i'd post to this thread since i am, after all, awake.

chipmunks too.

the eastern cottontail can be found statewide, and will devour just about anything green with their huge incisors. ;) they really are important prey species in the food chain.

crows are omnivorous, and during spring months, they have to feed their young. Journal of mamma logy, crow predation upon nestling cottontails, by Charles m. Kirkpatrick describes quite in detail, if interested, how important nestling cottontails are important part of the food of nestling crows. [something noteworthy here: rabbits are not usually taken by crows earlier than june or later than april, which is related to spring season.]

Here are some other fascinating facts about crows:

I had no idea there were kittens in the building, and they might not be there this morning. The Moma might have moved them since I found them.

I had no idea what it felt like and that it felt so good when someone says "I got ya".

I had no idea...

That newborn rabbits had so many enemies until I moved in my home 15 years ago. I have always had a nest in my backyard since I moved in. Every spring. And yes, unfortunately, I have watched bluebirds attact each other, owls go after the bunnies, and turkey birds (or buzzards) grow to about 4 ft. tall.

Oh, yessss. Just be careful because the entire pot is not one serving.

And if you add cheddar cheese and kielbasa to your perfectly buttered and cooked rice....it is STILL not one serving.

Sigh, I know......

I had no idea you could get varicose veins in your ovary and pelvic region until a client informed me of that fact today. It even has a name...Pelvic Congestion Syndrome.

Clients like to throw their hairdressers under the TMI bus a LOT
