If you have the opportunity to take up Krav Maga, definitely do it! Most martial arts (especially Asian martial arts) out there have developed some level of aestheticism that seems to necessitate the inclusion overly complex movements that are more for the sake of that aesthetic and tradition, which modern systems cut out in favour of the bare bones. Also, most martial arts out there today weren't developed with modern street fighting in mind, unlike Jeet Kune Do, Systema and Krav Maga, which were developed specifically to create straight forward no-frills martial arts that are more applicable to modern combat situations rather than competition.
I say go for it! :D Martial arts are fun, and it's one of the three most applicable and deadly systems you can learn. I only briefly tried out Krav Maga (was into Jeet, instead), but definitely recommend it.
