New Obama Family Portrait
The Obama's have released a new family portrait: http://img2.timeinc.net/people/i/201...-obama-440.jpg Apparently the children have grown so much since the last one in 2009, they thought an update was warranted. Malia is now 13. Sasha is now 10. I admit I have reached that age where I can't tell anyones age anymore but do these kids look older to anyone else? Malia looks about 19 to me, and Sasha about 14. |

Women cubs..
Yanno I was talking to Grant about this and I feel bad for these kids because of how critical people are, I remember poor Chelsea Clinton being criticized in the ugliest of ways as was Amy Carter because they weren't "beautiful" or perfect. FFS they are kids growing up in front of this Nation and the way these young women are criticized and picked at is gross to me. I don't see this happening (that I can remember) with male children. I hope that it doesn't fall onto the Obama girls as it has these other girls.

My son is 14, so I see kids in this age group often. They look totally age appropriate to me...and I love this picture. For me, it shows love and family in a way I've never seen in a "first family" picture before.
Love the way their hands are clasped and the kids are inside their embrace.... They look like a strong family....and I always love to see that. |
Yes, they look about their right ages to me too. All kids do seem to look older than when I was a kid, or even when I look back at pictures, so I don't think it's just my perception. I've heard several people say that it's because of all the hormones we get in our meats now, but I've never looked into whether that's true or not.
