Horror Movies That Don't Suck
 

I've seen horror flicks so ridiculous on "Chiller", "The SyFy Channel", and a few others that I've stopped watching them mid-way through. Bad acting, bad plots, gratuitous violence, and soft-core pornographic sex every 8 minutes is not my idea of an enjoyable horror film.

I like the actors to carry a film and there has to be a believable plot.

Here's my short list of movies I think fits the bill for horror movies that don't suck:

1) Halloween (1978)
2) The Strangers
3) The Descent
4) Mama
5) Vacancy
6) 1408
7) The Ring
8) Absentia

The Omen, the first Friday the 13th, Hush hush sweet Charlotte, the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre, May, Prom Night, The Shining, Rosemary's Baby... I love horror movies!

I forgot about "Dead Birds". That one was weird! I think I have to find it and watch it again now.

Not much of a horror fan but more psychological thriller.

However, if I had to choose. It would be all of the old school Halloween Movies. The rob zombie ones were not too shabby either.

Frick I did not see that coming. Not till I scrolled down and then BOOM! There it was - Pennywise. Flip you about gave me cardiac arrest. Shit there should be laws against things like that. And it's the internet so it's not like if you kill me my surviving heirs could sue you for wrongful death or anything, not without knowing who you really are. That would kind of make it impossible.
