taking myself on an impromptu adventure today...
I went out looking for Bryson City...since I saw it on a recent House Hunters and it looked wicked nice...but...my GPS is wonky and I ended up in Cherokee/ Maggie Valley...
I stopped at a cheezy touristy place and poked around and got some boiled peanuts.....found the casino by accident...

Also I traversed a beautiful part of the Blueridge Parkway from Maggie Valley to Sylva...the only reason I left the parkway was because I was running on fumes after all the mountains...
Had a yummy but cheap lunch at DQ (pumpkin pie blizzards are BACK!!!!) Jacques got his own lil ice cream treat too...and we took a little hike on the mountain to sea trail.
All in all a good day...
