Peer (s).

A friend of mine, since childhood, specializes in Peer Support. She is certified as a counselor for this type of counseling services in Kansas. I really like what she does as a counselor, providing peer support. I like the idea of having peers in your social circle, the kind of peers who respect you as someone they consider to be a peer: a shared autonomy in individualized ways which allows people a latitude of shared mutual respect.

I like it that each of us (here at home, and to include people we know abroad) can be a peer in each other's lives.

So that's my word of the day: Peer.
