Joy

I really liked this movie, but I'm a sap for David O. Russell movies. I "get" his dysfunctional people. I know them. I have relatives, friends, coworkers, and hairdressers like them. Hell, I am one of them; working class blokes trying to live the American dream.

Joy is based on a true story about single mom who's good at inventing things. There are improbable moments, but I was able to accept them.

I thought everyone was good, especially De Niro, Lawrence, and Rossellini.

This is another one I'll watch when it comes out on DVD.

And the music was good too, not as good as the soundtrack on American Hustle (another one of Russell's films), but it was good.
