How my former boss at the boarding kennel told me I could come down on Sunday and walk a couple resident dogs!!
I told her about wanting to volunteer at the SPCA and she reminded me of these two dogs that are permanent residents at the kennel, due to their owner having a stroke and having to go in a nursing home. I'm looking forward to taking them out for a nice walk and I'm taking them some treats. My next door neighbor agreed to be available for a few hours on Sunday if my spouse needs anything, so I have a "sitter" for her and don't have to feel guilty leaving her home alone.
