I think the above are beyond getting embarrassed. They are a pretty self righteous bunch. I don't think anyone told them that this Trump thing is a joke. I try hard to have faith in humanity and see the better part of who they hard but it is not my first instinct. Trump winning the Republican primaries state by state and I think he will also sweep in Super Tuesday, gives me a great deal of concern. The haters and those who seem to be losing power in the pecking order of things are now crawling out from under their rocks to try and take us back to "the good old days." Maybe good for a select few but not the rest of us.
Finally, I also think the "establishment Republican party" painted themselves into this bizarre corner. They allowed the extreme right some legitimacy by giving them a platform, safe harbor so to speak, in spewing their rhetoric full of racism, and encouraging the party of NO to everything. "The chickens have come home to roost" and the chickens have no regard for anything (including other republicans) except their agenda.
It is going to be interesting to see how Trump either buys into their narrow world view or tries to step on them too when he is coronated, I mean elected.
