Dinner was a long awaited (2 years) visit to Tupelo Honey Cafe in south Asheville...

We started with fried green tomatoes on grits which had goat cheese and red pepper aioli mixed in...I'm not fond of goats cheese but the rest was awesome...

For my entree I got the Charleston chicken sandwich which had havarati cheese, greens and cranberry mayonnaise. Basil butter green beans on the side and my lady shared her fried okra which was the BEST okra I've ever had in my mouth...

They also brought out biscuits served with incredible blueberry jam and, of course, tupelo honey. I forgot that I didn't love tupelo honey....after I slathered half my biscuit with it. Luckily, I had some jam left to quiet the taste...

It was an awesome dinner and I'm definitely taking my mom there when she visits...
