I'm not saying to limit your option but maybe to expand. If you want to do cloth, then do so, but maybe open the door for paper or whatever else may be available. I'd feel bad if you changed your medium to accommodate some of us but there's nothing saying you can't open the door to all options.

I perused both Michael's and ACMoore tonight and neither had wax sticks. I think I'm just going to get some nice crayons and make it work.
