Picking up my daughter and her girlfriend from our city wide gay prom.
Attendance was at about 350 youth. The crowd of kids was so happy, so diverse, so happy, the energy was amazing. The outfits were to die for. The comments I heard as I stood outside waiting for pick up as hundreds of teens were passing by talking it up made my heart swell. Hearing my daughter ramble on about all of the outfits, what she liked, what she would wear, that all of the bathrooms in the building were gender neutral, seeing all of the kids be kind to each other... so good!
