I streamed two episodes of
Columbo that were really good. The first was with
Patrick McGoohan who was outstanding as the leader of a military school. The first few minutes were in total silence as we watched McGoohan set up the crime. McGoohan's acting and timing were impeccable to the point that I didn't want any dialogue--didn't want any distractions. The rest of the episode was pretty good, too. Really good acting by McGoohan.
The second episode was with
Dick Van Dyke and I know he's a great comedian, but I forgot that he was (is) a good dramatic actor, too. He was really good as a resentful and bitter husband. And
Larry Storch was in this episode as a driving instructor. I always liked Storch.
Peter Falk was good in both episodes, too. Some episodes were better than others, but these are two of the best in the series.
