passing Smiling a xanex and rolaid for her "agita"
Feeling good, not ragged out at all.
Took out a copperhead yesterday with my .40 caliber s & w shield ... all I had was some Hornady critical defense hollowpoints to work with (will be purchasing some snake shot for both pistols very soon) ... missed on the first shot. I was a little rattled because I had been raking pine straw in that very spot two minutes before and it did not matter that I had on 18" snake boots. When I missed, he seemed to get angry at the noise because his middle third of his body was sort of rolling back and forth, though he was staying in the same place. As he raised his head, I started a gentle steady trigger squeeze. It went bang and his head went bye bye.
Course I had to let go of a couple more gratuitous shots after that.
I went to get my phone to get a photo for work friends and saw where my butch bud, retired law enforcement, next door had just texted me. She asked me if everything was okay over my way because she heard shots fired. In a couple of minutes, I texted her back with a photo of the snake and said "it is now" ... she immediately texted me "good job!" Later last night we were talking, she was telling me funny snake stories. One in particular was long ago when she had this cat that would use the doggie door ... yea, you know where this is going ---> one time the cat brought a live snake inside and was playing with it ... gosh, that story of her getting the snake from the cat, taking it back outside and what was going on in her head ... it was just too good ---> so funny with lots of action! LOL!
