I had my place for sale for a while. Tired and dreamed of a small cottage all paid for. Got tired of lookie loo's wanting to see and dream of having a farm.

"why is that rooster attacking that hen?"
"How do you grow beans?'

Kids running around. Family dog chasing my hens and cat.

The only way I'd show it today is if they had cash in hand, pre-approval and met my price.

Of course I don't really care and not heading anywhere so I can't even imagine your frustration.
you could clean it, stage it and just go to florida and let them show and show. If they don't sell it in 6 months rent it. Just do it. just go and save yourself all the trouble. Just go and let the Realtor show it or rent it.

But sometimes... it just all gets a little too overwhelming...and frankly, I just wanna' have a good whine.

Don't want advice; don't want anyone to solve my problem; just want to whine it all out and have my friends say "wow...that really DOES suck!"

If you ever feel that way...here's a space for it. No advice please...although sympathy and co-whining is always appreciated.

Sooooo....to start things out today....here's my whine:

I've been trying to sell my house for a couple months now so that I can get moved down to Florida with my sweetie. It's a cute house, in a good school district, but yes...it's old, it's not perfect, and it's on a busy street.

Here's the deal. I've been cleaning my house to showroom "here come the photographers" kind of perfection over and over and over and over...for idiots who come, look around for 5 minutes and then say "the house is so cute but I just don't know about the street." Well DUH...could you not SEE the street? Is it not there? Did you not just drive in ON it??? If you wouldn't be willing to consider a house in this location then why the heck are you wasting my time and energy?

Here's the other part...I work from home and I have two barky, overly enthusiastic dogs. So...when they want to show the house I not only have to clean, I have to pack up the dogs, leave my work and get out. For a couple of hours. So they can look for 5 freakin' minutes and then be indecisive because of the street...which they should have figured out by now...right?

So...this weekend, I talked to the realtor...basically had that do or die conversation...you sell it or I'm gonna rent it out and leave anyway. He tells me he has a great prospect and will show it to her Tuesday or Wednesday. Doesn't know when, but he'll call. Well...it's Tuesday and he hasn't called. I still need to clean..but with a kid, 2 dogs and 4 cats it doesn't stay perfect for more than about 10 seconds...so I don't want to clean too early if she's coming Wednesday or I'll just have to do it again.

Did I mention that I'm diabetic, get fatigued, and on meds that give me abnormally low blood pressure...so I can literally get to the passing out point if I do too much all at once? Yea, that too.

Sooooo.... I mowed and weeded for hours on Saturday so the yard looks nice. I've got the basic cleaning done but need to know when to do the "perfection" part. No call from him. I call. He left his cell phone at home and his wife has no clue but "he'll call you Jo." Uh huh. Right. And give me 20 freakin minutes notice to do 2 hours of work so I can race around, make myself sick, lose time from work and all for a 5 minute showing....and "gee I wish it wasn't on this street."

Bite me. Seriously.
That is all.
Thanks for listening.
