After 6 weeks of off and on bits of snow that stays well below freezing in between, I've got about 2 feet on the ground. Now there is some sort of tropical air push coming our way that will warm things up and is expected to cause unspecified trouble. (My guess is under snow flooding and brisk business for roofers)

The weather folks have come up with a new-to-me term to use in forecasting, they are calling for "wintry mix". I gather this means 'some sort of sh*t is going to fall out of the sky, likely to make things worse'.
