While I had lentils cooking in vegetable broth, I sauteed a couple of onions, sundried tomatoes and soy italian sausage in olive oil. Once the lentils were done I mixed them in and then added some mixed spices that I bought from the local co-op. It turned out really flavorful. I caught my son picking soy sausage bites from the pan while he was waiting for his steak to grill... Guess he approved.
