Also yes I noticed that about David Cook and Adam Lambert...are they too big of stars now to go to a lowly AI event? Carrie and the others that have "made it" were there. Actually, David Cook was performing for a charity event ~ a cancer organization he supports from having lost his brother last year (or the year before) to cancer.

Adam Lambert has been put on vocal rest. And in the singer's world, "vocal rest" is like a form of 'death'......it's very difficult to do without total seclusion.
