Thank you for this! I just found it by accident and it was lovely to read. I very much appreciate your warm and caring support, as well as your intellect.
I must put a plug in for insectional feminism. Early in my political activism, I was more concerned with issues specific to women but at this point in time; with the politics of our day: it is clear to me that if one of us are not free: none of us are free.
I do want to ensure that lesbian erasure never happens and I will do all in my power to fight against this but with Trump and a Republican majority: all of our hard-won rights are in danger of being lost.
Intersectional feminism. This is the principle that forms of injustice and oppression–sexism, racism, homophobia, classism, ableism and transphobia; are all invariably linked, and one cannot address one without including everyone.
Feminism, as a movement, is not just for women, but is for all people.
