Nail care
Since nail care seems to be the theme let me share some of my helpful information that will save you money and hopefully a un-welcomed fungus.
Advice from a Cosmetologist...
Purchase yourself a nice little tub from whatever store you wish. Get one of those washcloth bundles. Get yourself a BIG bottle of the Yellow Listerine. Yes, it has to be the yellow one.
If you have a Sally's beauty supply near by head over there and pick up the green foot scrub by Heel and toe. While there get yourself a pediegg, a couple of orange-wood sticks, a few good files, perhaps some cutical remover cream. The best part is picking out nail polish and the key to polish lasting is a good base coat. Be sure to clean the nail bed with acetone or rubbing alcohol.
Now that you have all your fun stuff together. Follow these steps for a fantastic pedicure.
Use the pediegg on dry feet.
Fill your basin with a 50/50 solution of hot/warm water and Listerine. Just enough to cover your feet. Soak for about 20 minutes.
Remove your foot and vigorously rub your foot with one of the dry wash cloths, be sure not to miss between your toes. You will notice that the dry skin starts to rub off. If you have a pumice stone you can use that on the areas that appear to still need a little extra work. Use the heel to toe foot scrub with your pumice stone and you will notice that it makes your feet even smoother.
As a licensed Cosmetologist I have tried so many different products. I have found that there are some things that even with a well known name attached don't work like you would think they should. I also fell in love with Gold bonds foot softening cream or their diabetic foot cream.
Repeat the steps I've suggested on your other foot.
If you do suffer from diabetes don't make your water too hot. The other thing about diabetics is they/you need to keep a close eye on your feet so you don't end up with sores.
The yellow Listerine was used way back when it was first created on a multitude of things. It has been known to help clear up athletes foot and nail fungus.
