If you knocked on my door, I'd greet you armed. Once I determined you safe I'd welcome you into my messy small apartment and offer you my seat. I would sit on a pail or box. You would meet my family, Partner, Che and Calliope (my cats). After extended greeting, I would find out the reason of the visit.
The TV would be on a news channel, likely MSNBC. The windows are all covered. The only light comes from artificial means, usually and preferred incandescent bulbs.
