Well, the clock has already been done so don't worry about that and lasers could blind someone or cause seizures. No no to those.

I, too, get a wee bit ambitious. I just have to remind myself that's it is just art and art is subjective. Even if I think something's gorgeous, the recipient might not and vise versa. I just do what I can with the time, supplies and skills that I have.
