Gayandgray - My condolences on having to put your beloved pet to sleep. I have been there (twice actually) and you are right in regards to the suffering. I had to make that choice, too. I had to realize it was time to let go so that my pet(s) did not suffer any longer. Does not make it any more bearable, but there is solace in that.

My condolences to your spouse on the passing of her/his daughter.
