I'm so sorry to hear this! I've been there and it's such a difficult decision. Just know that you are making the RIGHT decision for Baxter, even if it's hurtful for you and your spouse. It's not ethical to let an animal suffer for our own emotional needs. When my Oliver's seizure meds started actually giving him seizures and he'd cycle through several in a row over and over, I knew it was time. Be with him to the end and make sure everyone gets a chance to say 'see you later'.
