Standing shoulder to shoulder with a B-F couple whom I am friends with and standing up to bullshit, prejudice, mean spiritedness, judgementalism and.....sadly enough, sexual harassment directed towards my Femme friend.

I remember the days when we couldn't fight back, because there weren't any laws, rules and regulations in place to help us fight. We also didn't have the full hearted support of allies in the right places who were willing to publicly stand up and help us. That has changed, finally. Today, we are a coalition to be reckoned with!!!

Also, I found out that I have been elected the Committee Chairperson for the Diversity and Fair Practices division of our Union local!!! I'll be going to Atlantic City, NJ, in August for the AFGE Fair Practices Training Seminar.

I think I'm feeling the pride.
