Trying not to get annoyed.

My fire alarm has been chirping since the wee hours of the morn. I was able to sleep thru it. This morning I was going to change the battery. The alarm is located in the living room in a not the highest point of the ceiling. I looked at it, looked around and got my bar height dinning room chair. Pulled out the step stool, grabbed the battery, and climbed up on that chair.

Drats! About a foot within reach. I'm tall, but alas it fails me with these high ceilings.

I then look around, I have a very sturdy solid foot stool. I'll put that on top of my chair. I start to climb up, and notice the edge of my coffee table, the glass shelves of my TV stand, the heavy claw like base of my dining room table. My thoughts go to landing on any of those.

I decided I will call for maintenance and just be safe.

I'm turning up the music, lol.
