- All the living creatures in this house blissfully snoring away.
- The strange barely perceptible electric-like hum that I hear outside at night I don’t know if it’s the wind coming off the leeward side of the mountain or the highway that is half mile away (but unlikely to be humming with traffic late at night.)
- The tick tick ticking of heat occasionally kicking in.
