I had a lovely time with friends and colleagues at a company BBQ tonight. Then on the drive home, I was listening to the KMHD jazz radio show, featuring blues/soul/gospel music from years ago. They played Don Covay's "In the sweet bye and bye" -- a rare live performance recording, with a beautiful Hammond organ accompaniment. It was simply awesome to hear... and left me feeling like the entire day was just sweeet as sweet as could be.
