After a lot of fretting over the weekend I had a good talk with our vet this morning. We are taking the old man off of the steroids as they are likely causing his digestive distress and loss of bladder control. Then we monitor and wait and see. I have five steroids left and he said I can break them in half and give him low doses if he shows symptoms again but it's more of a - watch for quality of life now.

He was really happy today after being off of the steroids for 48 hours- took off running in the back yard chasing a bunny and watching ducks fly over the river.

My old lady cat had four breakfasts by 8am. She has developed this scream like she's literally going to die if you don't put food in front of her. She's just at a point where she can't remember if she ate or not. I just wish it would put a little weight on her. She's so tiny but she has been for the last two years. Part of her aging.

The other two cats are weighing in at about 18 pounds each and are pretty much just finding spots to lounge in the sun. It's too hot for them to wrestle like they like to but I'm pretty sure they are giving each other stink eye a lot.
