Annie Dillard's
Pilgrim At Tinker Creek is filled with thought-provoking inspiration based upon the many observations she has made while out in natural settings. For example, her paintings and her writing has influenced and inspired me to look more closely for how we can find alternative answers within natural settings.
In particular, the painting below is a favorite. It inspires me with peaceful feelings.
