That sounds so idyllic. My future Mother-in-law LOVES roosters and hens. I made some original artwork, mixed media, on a chunk of pine wood, so she can have it on her deck at home. A cute femme hen, with the type of glasses my mil wears. I liked your description of the wind coming off the mountain behind your house, too. Years ago, I heard the wind coming off the mountain at my dad's sister's house. Good memories.
