Well, I have a couple of deaths that I know of, today, I am sad to say.
1. Shane MacGowan, lead singer of one of my most favorite Irish bands, The Pogues (thank you, J, for introducing me to them, back in the day), has died at age 65. He penned one of my most favorite Christmas songs, "Fairytale of New York", then performed it with the wonderful Kirsty McColl (RIP) in 1987.
2. Henry Kissinger, former Secretary of State (1973 - 1977), Diplomat and most probably one of the most reviled public figures of his age, has died at age 100.
