I recently came across a limited edition of a Little League baseball, which was made in Haiti, before that particular supplier of baseballs was moved to, I think, Costa Rica. Making baseballs in Haiti was an important economy that helped workers in Haiti who live in absolute poverty, poverty of a nation broken by cruel politics in our own country. I know this for a fact due to my mother who went on many tireless missions to Haiti via Doctors and Nurses without Borders.
Anyhooo, I bought that baseball to give it to my little granddaughter for her second birthday, later this fall.
