It just occurred to me how funny it is that the most important things i remembered about LA is that fabulous bbq joint and having my daughter!!! rofl........*laughin' at myself*
After I was done laughin' i remembered how i hated takin' a shower and walking outside and feeling like i needed another one cause the humidity made me feel all slimey again....... good grief, don't miss that..... we lived in an all white neighborhood, lived there quite a while before i realized where i was living and why it was like that...... my dad was military, and i was raised blind to color differences, so was quite shocked to realize that the south in those days was segregated still.....I'm talking 1976 here. My BIL lived in Houma LA, lordy did i love going to visit him and his family, his wife was cajun and omg did i fall in love with Cajun folks, but boy ya better wear your stretch pants or hippy dress, cause everybody had to feed ya, and ya better eat a full plate, so's not to disrespect anyone, omg, i put on some weight living there!!!
Good golly miss Molly, i sure miss being around simple happy folks, all that laughing and eating and kids running round squealing an' having fun........fishing, and swatting skitters and other flying critters..... don't miss those dang snakes though.......
