Putting on a fresh pot of coffee and for everyone...and setting out the apricot scones (they turned out fabulous...thanks for the recipe darkcrystal...I LOVE it).

I feel like baking cinnamon rolls this morning...the good yeasty kind loaded with brown sugar, melted butter, cinnamon and chopped pecans. Mmmmm...

This is gonna be a yardwork weekend for me I think...the yard needs mowing, the weeds need pulling, and the climbing roses at the front of the house grew so big with all the rain that they pulled the trellis over...think a little pruning is in order

Our fireworks are tonight...the little village we live in has a nice little display, we walk down to the park about 5 blocks from the house, sit on a blanket on the grass with the other 1,000 or so folks who live here, have a soft ice-cream cone with sprinkles, and watch the fireworks that they set off over the playing fields. Definitely "small town" but lots of fun.

Good Morning DC, Incubus, Jo. Its a great day indeed , the weather is just great sunny skies and everything!! Jo you get to see fireworks. wow that's great we have the Macy's fireworks but only on TV I could never get down to Hudson County to find a space for my car and see them over the Hudson River anyway, today is just a lazy day, next week is school again Ugh!! maybe laundry need underwear lol have a great day everyone!!
