So, the issue was my fault because I didn't "explain" why I and my family had to decline? I find that interesting. I was under the impression the issue was caused because others took it upon themselves to throw all kinds of conjecture on a simple "I'm sorry, I can't make it."

No, I didn't find it necessary to "explain" why the Strutts were not able to attend. The last thing I expected was a bunch of panties and britches in a bunch, so the apparent necessity of an public explanation didn't occur to me when I posted.

I appreciate your well wishes for my father.
